What to wear to a picnic

 Happy Sunday Glams!

With the splendid hot weather we're enjoying here in Washington DC, this month is the perfect time to enjoy outdoor time with your friends and Family before the cool weather starts heading our way.
While you're munching on fried chicken wings and salad and drinking Lemonade and Ice-tea  you'll need to be wearing something light and cooling.

Picnic dressing involves easy-to-wear casual separates that can be layered on if the weather turns cold, and will look good if you decide to splash out on a cream tea.
Denim skirts are easy to wear and hard wearing too (those grass stains will wash out easily!) pair them with an easy tank or a simple crop top as I have done.

Capri pants are another casual staple that will work with a floral shirt or thin cap-sleeved knit.
However if you're taking deck chairs you can dare to wear something more flimsy so indulge your romantic side and pick an easy-to-wear bias cut skirt or dress with feminine details like beading or ribbon trims - vintage 40s tea dress would be perfect.

A cardigan is the perfect cover-up if the sky clouds over. Cotton or light-weight wool are your best bets and go for candy-bright colors during the summer months.

The unveiling of my new camera, the Nikon L320

Hello Glams,
Happy Saturday,
Today I received my new Camera and my 5 year son, (my Photographer) was more excited than I was about a  16.1 megapixel Camera....so exciting..........
The Shots are much better than that of my Camera phone. The ability to recieve a clean, crisp picture is evident in all of these shots.

The scree on the camera is a simply one which allows you to view your shots during and after you took them in good detail. But to be honest who cares if the screen on the camera is good, we only should really care about picture quality!

Overall I am super happy I bought this camera. It is quite sturdy and has no trouble being tossed in a backpack or being treated rough and tough by my toddler. It comes with a camera strap and lens cap which are both of high quality. The camera it self seems very well put together and has that Nikon feel.I am quite sure that you guys are going to enjoy a lot of my wonderful photos.

My Fabulous look of the Day

Hello Glam,

Happy Saturday,
This is a look that I wore with my Husband to celebrate his 35 year High School Class reunion.  wanted a look that would make me stand out in a crowd and this golden ensemble did just that.

This necklace alone is a piece that is so bold, that I choose to let it shine and mirror the golden dots that are present in the top. I kept the hair sleek and pulled back off the face with no earrings so as the necklace and top could do all of the talking.
the Makeup was sophisticated and elegant with a pop of color on the lip. The high waist-ed Trousers give the look that extra edge that it needed by keeping it modern and classy so as to balance out the crop top.

Why I just purchase a new camera, " the Nikon L320."

Hello Glams,

I am sooooo excited to share my good news of the day. My purchase of this  bridge camera the Nikon L320. I am a new blogger that has only started my blogging journey and I am already tired of poor quality pictures as I do want the representation of my blog to be of quality.  Hence, last week I cleaned out my closet and received $100.00 from Crossroads Trading consignment boutique which I used to purchase this camera.

Smiling with My check that I used to purchase my New Camera

Why I Choose This Camera:

  • I choose this camera simply because am not ready to simply make the expensive leap into DSLR cameras. The price is usually $166-$180.00. I paid $100 on amazon.com. I thought this was worth shouting to the top of my lungs about....Yea!
  • This is a fixed lens and usually an exceptionally long zoom the Nikon L320 does fit the bridge bill and also with the quality of the sensor and range of the zoom this camera is exceptionally cheap.
  • This camera has a 16.4 megapixel CCD sensor and a 26 times optical zoom that is very impressive as I cannot get this with a DSLR or lens for a price like this which is exceptional.
  •  This camera appears very easy to use. After looking at a few you tube reviews I think I will easily managed to get acquainted with this in a matter of moments so i would class this an a very easy maybe even a basic camera.
  • The pop up flash is a great contributing factor that had me convinced that this was a great option for me.
  • I am a basic camera person, hence the auto focus was also another selling point for me. The reviews highlighted that this has a very intelligent auto focus with quick response time...I am really looking forward to capturing and sharing some great images with you guys.

Who would this be good for : People who want a cheap point and shoot camera with a long range optical zoom with a lot of batteries to spare .
