My fun Fashion haul

Hello Glams,

Happy Thursday from a very windy and chilly Washington D. C. Today I took it upon myself to brave the cold chill and run out to the store and try to do a bit of shopping and see if there were any winter sales and Clarences that I can capitalize on so as to welcome in the new season of spring. Here are my Clarence findings:

I visited Burlington Coat Factory, as it is one of my favorite stores for Clarence items, as I often find that they do a great job with their sales and I found this first necklace which was originally priced item at $24.00, but I got it for $9.99

The shoes were originally priced at Burlington for $50.00 I got them for $24.99

This bag was a must-have in my closet because I'm always wearing this shade of furshis pink and I thought it was an excellent choice when I saw it.it's originally selling at boutiques price at $108 and I paid $40 for it.

These Tops were all from D.d's discount , which is one of my favorite store to shop on a dime. and they all cost $4.99

This hat was also  from  DD's discount and cost $3.00

The sunshades cost $4.98 & $7.00

These two boots were from Burlington Coat Factory and they both cost $24.99

I'm so excited about today's inexpensive findings, can't wait to style these pieces.

Greetings from Washington D.C where we're welcoming the first 70 degree weather in the last six months, Yea......Its the first sign of Spring, that means that Miss Naturally GlamRus can truly be free. I broke out my Afro Curls and had all the heads turning today...just the way I love it.

Dots clothing store going out of business Sale

Hello Glams,

for many of you like myself who shop at dots clothing store it is quite a shocker or us to hear that all 398 of the dots locations here in the US are all going out of business starting 1st of March and wrapping up at the end of May.

When a store is going out of business it is quite sad for customers that have been loyal and also for many of the employees: however it's also the time for you as a customer to stock up on some of your favorite pieces at the discount prices.

This crop top was 30% off $8.00

This skirt was 30% off $16.00

This clutch was 30% off $18.00.

Getting ready For Spring

Hello Glams!

Spring is definitely on the way.... Can you hear the excitement in my voice? Lol.....am so ready.

I just wanted to share with you a few little fun finds I picked up to add a boast of color to my wardrobe to get it looking like Spring is on the way.

This Fun red blaze is a thrifty find that I picked up for $5.00. I think this bright red is just what I need to start looking like a rose in bloom.

This multi colored necklace is from JC Penny and was $25.00, but of course you know I don't ever pay full retail price, with a store sale of 30% off and an additional ego upon, I paid $7.00

This lovely owl necklace was a must have  to accentuate my spring and summer looks ans I got it at a steal of $5.00 at JC penny.

Both of these flowere earrings captured The very essence of spring and came in at two dollars each from Rainbow stores.

This lovely silver earring is an elegant piece that can easily be eorn day or night and it was on sale at JCPenney. I paid seven dollars While the original price was $35.00.

This green earring looks so much like the greenery that you can find on many trees during the spring months as the leaves are about to open; hence, I thought it was a great fine for spring, it cost two dollars at simple fashions.

Last but not least are these neon green and neon pink earrings that are mixed with crystal stones and Silver embellishments. they are so beautiful and they just scream "it's spring time!" These were $5.99.

Todays look is based on this $550.00 dollar Tapework ruby dress by the Designer John Lewis for his collection Phase Eight. Christian Louboutin Metallic Leather glitter toe pumps from Sacks Fifth Avenue @ $1500.00
Total: $2,050.00

Not a very affordable look, but let’s see how I make it work. I first research all the items separately until I find pieces that resemble the look above. When I’m done researching, I put together these items.

The original look total cost was $2,050.00 and the new look ended up costing $53.00. I was quite excited to be able to keep find the style of shoes that she I wanted, and find pieces that were very much more affordable to complete this look.  I saved $1,997.00 thanks to a bit of research at some of my favorite stores.

How you can do this on your own :

The way to get the look you want for less is to research an outfit from a store or designer you like and expend sometime online looking at different stores and prices until you find exactly what you are looking for at an affordable price. Remember, that it might take a couple hours to find what you need. Illusion!

Hello Glams, Todays style inspiration was based on this $5,500.00 Jason Wu Floral Embellished lace dress, of course mine does not cot that much...lol....

 

 

 

 

This Dress is by Sans Souci, which can be found at sans souci clothing online and was on sale when I purchased it for $10.00. I loved the look and feel of this stretch, body-con velvet dress as I thought the fit and color complimented my figure and my skin tone.

 

Tips on Wearing a Body-Con Dress:

 

CAUTION, if not worn right, this piece of garment will showcase every unwanted imprint . In-order to make sure a Bodycon dress can work for you, you must:
1. Wear the correct and proper fitting undergarments . Being that Bodycon dresses are form fitting you want to make sure that you have a smooth finish and making sure that the girls (breast)  are sitting up nicely.

2.Sizing is key. Choose a dress that has some stretch where you can still manage to move around…I sometimes go down 1 sizes to make sure that it doesn’t stretch out over time. Am a size small, but would opt for and xs.

3. If you are a size 0 or a size small, you can wear a body-con dress that is in one color, if you're a plus size, simple, try to stick to prints (florals-dots -stripes). Prints  are your best friend when wearing a Bodycon dress. Print Camouflages problem areas  perfectly and may give you that prefect Silhouette, even if you're a size 0.

 

 

 

I kept the hair simple and elegant in an up-do that is rolled and pined at the crown of my head. I choose to keep the jewelry and makeup on a clean bronze pallet to compliment the nude tones in the dress.

A wooly coat and nude pumps completed the ensemble.

 

First Lady Micheal is one of my biggest style Icon. She can shop at Target or JCrew or wear $10,000.00 dollar custom made gowns designed by Jason Wu. I think that she has a strong understanding of the types of clothing that compliments here body, along with the notion that Fashion can compliment a woman regardless of the Price.
