How to trade and sell unwanted clothes for Cash
Hello Glams,
Today's post highlights how I get to stay on trend with a
lot of the latest trends without breaking the Bank.
Many of us ladies likes designer labels, Exquisite fabric
and Beautifully tailored clothing, however much of those clothing may seem out
of reach if and when we are sticking to a budget; never the less, the luxury of
owning top quality clothing is possible when you shop at consignment clothing
stores.
Currently I clean out my closet on a regular basis
and I trade or sell my clothing to these locations with Washington D.C
- Buffalo Exchange

Michelle Obama may have single-handedly made it okay to wear
sleeveless bright colored outfits, florals and mix high and low, but
Washington, D.C. is still known for being conservative. That said, women dress
up for work and social events—of which there are plenty. Conservative Chanel
and Valentino are still Chanel and Valentino. These High end consignments are a
must try whenever you're in the DMV:

I have shopped recently started shopping and trading my
clothing at these locations and found it to be a friendly and easy experience at
all of them. I received close to $100.00 in cash for my first trade with
Crossroads. Now, I am so excited that it seems once I find an unwanted item in
my closet I run straight to the consignment store to see what cute new finds I
may acquire.
Part of my requirement to any Fashion Diva on a
budget is to find and shop consignment boutiques in your city before paying the
full retail price at places like Nordstrom,
Macy’s, Jcrew, Net-a-Porter, etc.
The pleasure and the struggle of shopping consignment is that it takes time to find items that work well in your closet, but when you do find that perfect pair of J. Brandjeans at $69 instead of $189, it is a feeling that rewards the fiscally smart woman, as well as the fashion lover – both of which reside within you I have a feeling.

Brandjeans at $69 instead of $189, it is a feeling that rewards the fiscally smart woman, as well as the fashion lover – both of which reside within you I have a feeling.
Today, I’d like to share a handful of reasons to consider
adding regular consignment shopping to your repertoire
Reasons to Shop Consignment:
1. Saves Money
While it would be wonderful to be able to hang designer items in our closets regularly, paying for them without reaching for our credit cards would be impossible for most of us; however, when you shop consignment you are able to purchase designer clothing at greatly reduced prices, helping you stay within your allotted clothing budget each month which prompts a much sounder sleep that evening.
2. Top Designer Items at a Fraction of the Price
As mentioned above, with a long list of designer fashions gathered in one store and the ability to purchase them at a reduced price, this is a fantastic way to add value to your wardrobe.
3. Better Value
Because items are reduced, you are able to buy a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress for $99 (regularly @ $350), pumps from Yves Saint Laurent for $120 (regularly @ $400) and a Splendid top for $20 (regularly @ $75) for a total of $239 (instead of $835). So instead of barely being able to afford one item, you will be able to purchase three quality pieces to enhance your wardrobe.
6. Better Selection
The benefit of shopping at a consignment store is that you are surrounded by all of the labels in one location instead of having to pop into boutique after boutique for each individual designer. This saves you time and headaches.
7. Aids in Creating a Signature Style
At a traditional department store or boutique you are only able to purchase the current season’s styles, whereas in a consignment shop you may have multiple years of a particular season to choose from enabling you to create a unique wardrobe that cannot be duplicated as there are typically only one of each of the items in the store.
8.Remember at the end of the day, you're simply investing in your wardrobe and your overall appearance, hence always keep an eye out for timeless pieces as they are always good investments as you can simply take those items that you have worn back to the consignment store that you have purchase it from and simply get either Cash in hand or a store credit to shop for more quality items that you simply would not have been able to afford in the department stores….

The most efficient way to pack for a 2 day Beach getaway
Hello Glams,
Today's post is just a few tips that I found so effective and easy from my 2 day getaway trip to the Beach that I had to share with you.
for any mini vacation trips, it's easy for us Ladies, especially us Moms to over pack, however when packing for yourself and your Family its as simple as picking (and mixing and matching) just a few key items.
Although much of your packing list will vary based on your destination, here are a few hard-and-fast rules that are applicable to all vacationers.
1. choose one basic color to pack around. "I'm a big fan of monochromatics due to my small stature and small frame of only 5'6. Yes My go to color for this Trip was "BLACK," however basic colors like beige's, grays, and whites are all great options as well. — when you're traveling," "You should never have be to concern about whether or not anything matches, as long as it looks chic and is appropriate for the occasion you're wearing it for, then you should be all set to go.
2.Since bathing suits don't take up a lot of room, I do recommend taking two and alternating them.
3.As for footwear, I like to pack one pair of wedge slippers that are casual enough for the beach or pool but fancy enough for dinner.
3. I advise you bring a long lounge pant instead of a short one so as it can do double duty as a beach cover-up, hence it can also be used on a breezy night to easily transition from beach to a bar or out to dinner.
Other essentials: a cute top or two, and a pack-able sunhat

Peek into My makeup case
Hello Glams,I am quite excited about giving you a peek into my makeup bag. I am always interested in seeing what others have in their bag and listening to their feedback on what works and what doesn't. I have a lot of makeup, however these are the products that I keep in my makeup bag and reach for daily. Some of it are things that I have had a long term relationship with and repurchase all the time, like the elf Primer, LA Girl Concealer and Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray. some of it is new that I am trying out, like the Hard Candy Eye Glitter and Mascara and so far I love them both. The Mascara applies smooth and doesn't clump easily, while eye the glitter is actually easy to squeeze as its in a little tube and it has a thick consistency.......and some are just must haves for any makeup bag and the brand could be interchangeable. So here we go, in no particular order.
One product That I have been using for a few years would be the Cover-girl TruBlend Minerals Bronzer 435.It goes on great and gives you a pretty bronze look that I cant live without during the winter and Summer Months. A favorite liner is the Elf gel liner, its bright for a nice cat eye look which I wear on the regular. I don’t think I could live without my 2 step mascara from Hard Candy, volume for days!
When it comes to setting my makeup, whether am going out to dance or going for a jog and I want to have that natural looking face even thought I applied makeup I would use the these two setting spray interchangeably....The elf is $5.00 a pop and I would wear every day while the urban decay is $16.00 a bottle, hence I would use this on formal occasions.
Thanks For Reading.
